About the app

Denzl

Denzl is a personal shopping app for men. It learns your taste and shows you what men like you actually buy and keep, helps you build a private wardrobe from the clothes you already own, and lets you try things on before you buy. We're based in Bangalore and live in India.

What Denzl does

The whole app, plainly.

Learns your taste

You make a few simple choices about what you like. Denzl builds a private read on your style, your fit and your budget, and fills a personal feed with clothes, shoes and more worth spending on, from brands you may not know yet.

Builds your wardrobe

You can add the pieces you already own to a private wardrobe, either by photographing them in the app or by importing photos of them from Google Photos. Denzl reads the clothing in each photo to identify the garment, so your closet is organised for you.

Try it on, then buy

See a clean product image, or a try-on generated on your own photo, before you decide. When you want to buy, Denzl links you to the brand's own store. Denzl is not the seller.

Community signals, never individuals

What men like you bought and kept becomes a signal for you, always anonymous and aggregated. No individual's purchases are ever shown to anyone.

Google Photos

Why Denzl asks for Google Photos.

Only to help you build your wardrobe

If you choose to, Denzl can import photos of clothes you already own from Google Photos, so you can build your wardrobe without photographing every piece by hand. This is the only reason Denzl requests access to your Google Photos.

You pick the photos. Denzl sees nothing else.

Denzl uses Google's own photo picker. You hand-pick the exact photos, and Denzl only ever receives the photos you pick. Denzl can never browse, list, or search your photo library, and never sees a photo you did not pick. The access is optional, and the photos you import are stored privately, tied to your account, and used only to build your own wardrobe inside Denzl.
